Exciting news for NorthChamber members, Chamber and the Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA) have partnered up to boost support for NorthChamber members. The relationship will bring a host of added resource, learning content and business information to Chamber members. The partnership will also add weight to advocacy work undertaken by both organisations.
EMA representative in Northland, Michael Turner, will work alongside the NorthChamber team based at The Orchard in Whangārei and out on the road around the region offering on the ground support to EMA members and now NorthChamber members too.
Paulette Scrooby Acting Ceo for NorthChamber says, “Our two organization hold similar values in supporting the growth and long-term success of businesses in Tai Tokerau. We are thrilled that a portion of the significant resource library and knowledge base that sits within the EMA is now available for our members.”
EMA has also stepped into a key partner role for the 2022 Northland Business Excellence Awards, “Again this had a natural fit for us in terms of aligning values and promoting best practice through the vehicle of the Awards,” said Paulette, “we are building capability across the board.”
The EMA has been helping Kiwi businesses succeed for 138 years, representing a true cross-section of New Zealand entrepreneurs, small business, corporates and public sector agencies. They are across multiple sectors including export, manufacturing, banking, retail, health, aged care, construction and infrastructure. For almost 120 years NorthChamber has been serving the needs of the Northland business community through its advocacy initiatives, networking opportunities and its business development initiatives and support services. NorthChamber and the EMA share the same vision of supporting growth and long-term success of all businesses across Tai Tokerau.
Newly appointed Business Partner for Northland, Michael Turner, will work alongside the NorthChamber team based at The Orchard Business and Events Hub in Whangārei, and out on the road around the region to extend support to NorthChamber members.
