Northland Community Foundation is passionate about growing generosity across Te Tai Tokerau Northland. Since our founding in 2004, we have been connecting generous donors with meaningful causes, creating a sustainable legacy for our region. The Foundation holds funds on behalf of people, charities or businesses in Northland that would like to donate back to charitable causes forever. The funds are invested, and the interest is delivered back to the chosen charitable causes in Northland each year.
Best known for our fundraising role in Project Promise (to build a Cancer Treatment Centre for Northland), the Foundation is now moving into a new phase encouraging endowment funds and bequests for the benefit of Northland, now and in the future.
The Foundation has a number of funds that donors can donate to including community-based funds, local area funds, environmental funds and education funds. Or, donors can establish their own fund to support a cause they are passionate about. To read a full list of the funds, visit:

Health Fund PLUS
Health Fund PLUS is a partnership between Northland Community Foundation and Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, created to support healthcare projects that fall outside of government funding. This fund helps provide the optional extras that make a difference for patients, their whānau, and healthcare staff — enhancing hospital spaces, developing our workforce, and funding initiatives that improve the overall patient experience.
