Hātea Art Precinct Trust
Whangārei Art Museum Trust was established 25
years ago to collect, display, conserve and promote
art in the region of Northland, New Zealand. In
August 2021, we transitioned to become Hātea Art
Precinct Trust. The new Trust continues to oversee
the Whangārei Art Museum. It governs
Hundertwasser Art Centre and supports the
operations of Wairau Māori Art Gallery. Hātea Art
Precinct will represent a major New Zealand cultural
hub and tourist destination, adjacent to the beautiful
harbour basin in Whangārei. Visitors will discover
the Hundertwasser Art Centre, Wairau Māori Art
Gallery and Whangārei Art Museum.
