The Whangarei Agricultural and Pastoral Society is a not for profit organisation and has been in operation since 1860’s. It has a proud history of promoting agricultural interest throughout Northland. The Society also owns and manages the hire of the Barge Showgrounds Event Centre, Maunu Road, Whangarei.
When you organise or attend a function at the Barge Showground Events Centre you will be impressed with the excellent facilities. This building offers flexibility to configure the rooms to meet your requirements whether it be a small or large event. We can provide you access to our extensive range of audio and visual equipment. We have extensive parking available. We have dedicated staff available to assist and help with your set up and enquiries.
The Barge Showgrounds Event Centre will welcome your next corporate meeting, training day or special social function.
The Whangarei A & P Society also holds an annual Summer Show, one of the biggest events of its kind in Northland bringing the country and town together in an exciting family fun event.
