Congratulations to Andrew Fergus of IT Live who was the first to submit a completed entry for the 2026 Awards. His advice to other entrants? Start now, gather your evidence as you go, use the support available — and don’t be scared of AI.
We know finding the time and headspace to complete an Awards entry can be one of the biggest hurdles. This year, two game changers are making the process easier: a fully revised and streamlined Business Category entry form, and new AI guidelines to help entrants use technology confidently while keeping their entry authentic. Add in the guidebook and coaching support from the Awards team, and there is plenty of help to get your entry over the line.
Awards Coordinator Brittany Edwards says, “We are encouraging entrants to make the most of technology. Used thoughtfully, AI can help make the process easier, while keeping your entry grounded in your own business information, evidence and authentic voice. Also, this year all but one of the Specialist Categories now have standalone forms, making it simpler to enter and easier to showcase the parts of your business that are really shining.”
We encourage anyone who is interested in entering the 2026 Awards to submit an Expression of Interest NOW – or if you’d like to have a chat first, contact Brittany at Awards@northchamber.co.nz.
